Our Pet Policy

Here at Turangi Holiday Park we pride ourselves in being a dog-friendly park and encourage you to bring your well-behaved four-legged friend/s on holiday with you. We are also able to accommodate pets in some of our basic cabins with prior arrangement. There will be an additional cost for having pets stay in our cabin accommodation.

Be advised that the pet owner will be required to complete, accept and sign our ‘Pet Agreement Form’ upon arrival at time of check in which outlines our Terms & Conditions.

Please do not book online if you are travelling with a dog without contacting us directly first by phoning us on 0800 386 875 / 07 386 8754 or emailing us on [email protected] for management approval.

There are certain restrictions that have been put in place to preserve the balance for all visitors:

• Turangi Holiday Park requires guests with Pets to contact us prior to booking. Special conditions may apply, including date restrictions and the payment of a bond.
• All pets are to be approved by management before your stay.
• At the time of check in, let reception know that you have your pet(s) on site. You will need to sign a ‘Pet Owners Agreement Form’ and then you and your pet(s) can make yourselves at home.
• Pets are required to be up to date on all vaccinations and display proper tags. Pet owners must provide a copy of each pet’s current vaccination record as proof of vaccination. This is for your own protection of your beloved pet(s).
• Pets are strictly prohibited from ALL accommodation areas (unless arranged in advance) and Strictly all Park buildings. This includes the BBQ and cooking areas, ablution areas and playground areas. Pets cannot be left in cars, on the back of Utes, boats or if arranged in advance, cabins.
• If found to have a pet in any area of our accommodation without prior arrangement you will incur a fine. By entering our Holiday Park, the pet owner agrees that the Park Manager reserves the right to evict any guests whose pet(s) is found to be in any unarranged accommodation, BBQ/ cooking areas, ablution and playground areas (with the exception of medically certified guide dogs). In the event of eviction, the cost of your booking will be forfeited with no refund given.
• We count on you to prevent your pet from making excessive noise, being disruptive or aggressive to other guests or pets. If your pet(s) is deemed dangerous, harmful or consistently and continually disruptive with no noticeable effort made from you, park management has sole discretion in asking you to find other accommodation or make other arrangements. We also reserve the right to contact animal control to have a pet removed.
  Your pet(s) must be on leads at all times NO EXCUSES. Including on your site and while walking them around the park. Be considerate that not everyone is an animal lover. Many people do not appreciate your pet running up to them or their children, nor do they like sharing a space with an unknown pet. We have long stay residents & staff who also have pets on site.
• Dog owners are 100% responsible for picking up and disposing of their pet’s waste in a sealed bag and disposing of it in rubbish bins and keeping them within your control at ALL times.
• Dog owners are personally responsible, and will be held to be so, for any and all personal injuries and/ or property damage or losses in relation to any actions caused by or because of their dog.
• Visitors of our guests are not permitted to bring their pets onto the property unless prior arrangement has been made.
